In everything we do, we believe in challenging the status quo.  We believe in our families.  The way we challenge the status quo is by offering a truly international education, in a community environment, while getting high results.  Our 2016 graduates average IB Score was 32, above the 30 worldwide average. We ask you to take our Dare to Compare challenge and compare our averages against any school—in or outside of Shanghai.

As the fourth international school in Shanghai, SCIS has built a strong tradition in the short time international schools have been allowed back into the Peoples Republic of China.   One of the things that we are proud of the most though, is that ALL SCIS STUDENTS pursue the IB Diploma beyond their regular high school program.  We remain committed to providing opportunities for all students rather than just handpicking select students to take the IB.

Even though Shanghai already consistently ranks as one of the best places to get an education in the world, SCIS continues to get better every year, leading by an example and showing the world that a truly international school and education in a community environment can indeed get top results.
